PCAA caught on the Spider’s Web

After dropping the first set with a score of 15 – 25 courtesy of back liner kills from Hosei Setsuo and good control of the ball for the PCAA volleyball team, team PHS regrouped on the second to even out the sets when they drub PCAA with a score of 25 – 20 and force the third thrilling and deciding set. Third set proved to be exciting and any body’s ball game when the score see sawed all throughout. However on the last stages where the score was locked at 21 – 21, Spiders’ Raymond Roman put in aces of serves that gave them the upperhand to finally beat PCAA on the third set as well as winning the match that ended with a score of 25 – 23. As a result, both teams now are tied at first place with 4 – 1 card.

For other winners, Meyuns elementary drubbed team MOE volleyball in three sets, 23 – 25, 25 – 22, and 25 – 23; George B. Harris beat team KES also in three sets, 25 – 22, 17 – 25, and 25 – 18; Catholic Mission School or CMS got themselves a win also when they defeated Airai Elementary School Volleyball team in three sets with a score of 25 – 20, 24 – 26, and 25 – 19.

Nine teams that composed of local elementary schools, high school, and institutions connected to education namely MOE, PHS, KES, MES, GBH, PCAA, Special Education, AES, and CMS is competing to get this year’s 2010 Volleyball Crown. All games will be played at the Koror Elementary School gym wherein first games will begin at exactly 6:00 p.m. followed by the second match that starts at 7:00 p.m. Rules of the league indicates that there should be a minimum of three women players in the court at all times and that first game teams will officiate the second game while the second game teams will control the first game match. Games will be based on the best-of-three sets including the playoffs and finals with all sets played to 25 points.
