Peleliu wins Masters’ pennant

Dennis Renguul led off a walk in the top of the first inning as the Peleliu sluggers went on to pound the Red Men with four runs.

The Red Men who has one run in the bottom of the first from Roland Martin, managed to stand their ground in the second inning fielding Peleliu to scoreless inning.

But with Masaharu’s first HR, Peleliu continued their streak.

Leo Bobai scored a run before Masaharu hit his second home run in the fifth inning. Charley Kenty and Manny Cabrera also scored runs to ensure their pennant victory, 31-1 capping the Belau Masters’ regular season.

Peleliu lost only twice in the regular season.

Salty Boys 14, Lancheros 6

Wayne Kentaro and Luis Ngiraikelau drove in five runs with their home runs to help the Salty Boys hand the Lancheros their sixth loss, 14-6.

With Leonard Camacho and Bill Aguon scoring consecutive runs, the Lancheros put up the lead in the top of the first inning.

Highness Asanuma tripled and Kentaro singled him in for Salty Boys, then, Ngiraikelau and Tim Ito scored runs to snatch the lead in the bottom of the first.

The Lancheros came back in the second as Camacho drove in a run with a single, while John and Ray Aldan scoring runs.

However, after Kentaro’s run-scoring single, Ngirakelau blasted a two-run home run and Fulk Haruu drove-in thee runs with a single to zoom the Salty Boys past the Lancheros.
