“It’s one measure to prevent a game to become too physical,” said Perez.
The manifest also reminds all players, coaches, and team managers of the discipline that must be practiced when playing basketball.
“Moreover, as we want to promote a competitive kind of game and entertainment to every people who watch every game in Garapan Court, we must be strict on all teams involved,” added Perez.
The league committee also introduced a series of half-time ‘fund games’ and special dance numbers with the coming of the wild-card playoffs. While the top seeded team automatically enters the semifinals, the six teams following in the rankings will compete in the playoffs. The remaining three at the bottom are eliminated.
“We encourage all fans to watch these exciting games every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday as we continue to bring a competitive kind of basketball in the island,” said Perez.
