The Phat Boyz – recovering from a recent loss against the Man Amigos – dominated, 19-9 versus team Berdax in six innings.
Behind, 4-0 in the first two innings, the Phat Boyz returned on Phil Celis’ two-run home run and Aaron’s three-run home run.
At the top of the fourth, Jun Kaipat scored three RBI on another homer. The right fielder still wasn’t done after hitting his second three-run home run in the fifth inning.
Team Berdax scored their fifth run on Jack Guerrero’s home run in the bottom of the third.
The Phat Boyz ended with a 10-run fifth inning on endless hits from Toi Celis, Aaron, Marvin Kaipat, and Jun Kaipat.
Jun went 3-for-4 with three runs and Celis went 3-for-5 with two runs. Aaron, Marvin, and Phil Celis bagged two runs each.
Guerrero went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two singles, and a homer for Berdax.
The Phat Boyz will play today’s quarterfinal game at 6:30 p.m.
