PHO Tam Restaurant extended its winning streak to three games in the Alpha Kappa Rho 1st Semi-Open Invitational Basketball League 2025 after dominating Jasmine House, 106-74, at the TSL Sports Complex on Sunday.

Defense continues to be Pho Tam’s biggest asset. Thanks to Douglas Schmidt’s speed and quick reaction time, he single-handedly set the tempo with a handful of steals in the first half along with several assists feeding Aiden Suba, who led the offensive end with 12 points to give Pho Tam the lead.

Jasmine House’s Kristap Movilla matched Pho Tam’s output throughout the first 10 minutes of play. However, Jasmine House gradually fell behind due to frequent turnovers, allowing Pho Tam’s Reymark Castro and Ivan De Vero to capitalize on fastbreak opportunities, scoring six points each to give their team a double-digit lead at halftime, 53-38.

With a commanding lead, Pho Tam’s bench took over in the second half. Ed Pangelinan shined from beyond the arc, draining four three-pointers alongside Kenny Laquian, while Yel Manalo added seven points. Jasmine House remained persistent, with Resty Pabanil leading the offense by scoring 14 points, but it wasn’t enough to close the gap as they ultimately fell to Pho Tam Restaurant, 106-74.
