The Association was able to raise over $600.00 through the sale of movie tickets and vending of hotdogs, popcorn and ice cream served from Palau’s own Milky Way ice cream truck during the night of the show and raffled several valuable swimming related prizes for the people who had a great time as well.
PSA is very grateful for the assistance of Civic Action Team 09-05 headed by TSGT Chuck Williams accompanied by SSGT John Kallen and TSGT Steve Fadden who were there to operate the whole video equipment and made the occasion possible. In addition, the association would also take the opportunity to thank Debbie Toribiong for bringing the Milky Way truck and cow that gave a great contribution in keeping a smile on all the kid’s face which even made the evening more successful. Funds raised during the night by PSA are used for the purchase of pool chemicals other supplies, and swim camp supplies. With a great success, the plan for the next “pool movie night” was discussed and will be scheduled in March or April of this year. For more information on swim camps or public swim hours, and other events for the Palau Swimming Association please call the national pool, Meyuns at 488-6307.
