From the seventh inning on, both the Red Sox and the Ol’ Aces protected the field with tight defense allowing each other only a couple of base hits to push the game to three extra innings.
Starting pitcher Lancaster Secharmidal drove in a run and right fielder BJ Falig scored run on an error to take the lead in the top of the fourth inning.
Kyle Hocog who also got the first base on short stop’s error scored run on a wild pitch to tie the ball game in the bottom of the fifth. Jonathan Cabrera singled, stole second base and scored his second run on a catching error by the center fielder to regain the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning.
The Ol’ Aces held the Red Sox off, when Falig walked, stole scoring position and scored a run on a catcher’s error in the top of the seventh inning.
Reliever AJ Lizama added three strike outs for the Ol’ Aces to help hold the Red Sox scoreless in two straight innings.
On the other hand, Red Sox’ Thomas Reyes also had three strike outs to help suppress the Ol’ Aces in three straight innings as well.
Reyes gave away the first base after hitting Frankie Camacho by pitch. Camacho was tagged when he tried to steal the scoring spot, then Borja caught a fly ball for the second out.
After allowing the Ol’ Aces two base hits, Reyes who replaced Jerome on the left field caught a fly ball keeping the Ol’ Aces runless in the top of the 10 inning.
Getting safe at first base, Borja did not let loose of the chance when the Ol’ Aces defenders erred on catching one last time and he scored the winning run, for the Red Sox’ 5-4 victory.
Patriots 17, Fielders 3
The Docomo Patriots is entering the junior league playoff undefeated as they clobbered the Fielders, 17-3.
Christian Mizer had seven strike outs before he was replaced on the mound by Jared Sablan who, helped finished off the Fielders striking out five.
Sablan went 4-for-5 and Henry Rabauliman batted 3-for-4 leading the Patriots streak to their victory.
Sablan led off a walk, then, Sablan drove him in with a triple and Mizer hit an RBI single to set the lead in the bottom of the first inning. Sablan had his second base hit as he and Henry Rabauliman knocked in an RBI single to keep the Patriots afloat in the second inning.
Mizer hit another base hit—a run-scoring double to stretch the lead in the sixth inning. Rabauliman fired his third base hit, an RBI single and the Patriots never looked back.
Survivors 7, Lions 5
Vicente Cabrera and Daniel Smith Jr. knocked in a run-scoring double in the bottom of the seventh inning and secured victory over the Kagman Lion Heart.
KC Jones singled and with Justin Reyes driving him in with triple, the Lions put up the lead in the top of the second. Brel Yobech hit an RBI double to keep the Lions lead in the third.
After holding the Lions in the top of the fourth, the Survivors begun to bounce back with Cabrera scoring run on an error and Nick Jones Jr., hitting an RBI single.
But Lions’ Catalina Dela Cruz scored run in the fifth to stretch the lead again.
Paul Celis and Jeffrey Lizama scored runs and the Survivors cut the lead in the bottom of the fifth.
Justin Santos drove in a run to inch the Lions up again in the top of the sixth.
Relieve pitcher, Joe Lizama Jr., struck out three in the top of the seventh, then, Cabrera and Smith’s run-scoring double came giving the Survivors 7-5 win.
