Team Prospect, although only having six players show up, presented a great fighting spirit to the Rollers after not letting the gap go for more than 10 points a quarter.
The Rollers’ Manny Matagolai nailed the most points and helped push his team forward after collaring 10 points during the first quarter, 5 points during the second quarter, 18 points during the third quarter, and a total of 8 points during the fourth and bonus round of the game.
All was going well for the Rollers from the start of the game until the finish. Team Prospects arrived at the gym with a shortage of players causing them to surrender to fatigue first than the Rollers.
Matagolai nailed 10 points during the first quarter helping his team edge past the Prospects by 5 shaky points at the end of the quarter, 21-16.
Team Prospect closed this gap to two points during the second quarter of the game Leo Apelo connected to the basket for 6 points whilst his teammate Eli Aughenbaugh jumped into the band wagon and also collected 6 points. By half time the scores were up, 36-34 still in favor of the Rollers.
Both teams entered the second half of the bout ready to play some ball. Manny Matagolai was again seen on the court showcasing his basketball talents after snatching 18 points, two shots of which were open three pointer shots.
After this endeavor the Rollers were up by 10 points sending the crowd into a wild frenzy, 66-56.
Both teams anticipated the last quarter of the game. Although fatigue got the better part of team Prospect they still managed to tie with the Rollers in the last crucial seconds of the game. With quick passes to their center man Darwin Barbo, Barbo was able to basket 8 points.
Eli Aughenbaugh once again stole the ball twice and scored his six pence during the quarter. But it was Ehroll Peredo who nailed the final shot to tie with the Rollers. Peredo was on his way to the basket via a lay up shot when he was fouled and was given two charity shots.
Peredo nailed both to tie with the Rollers in the final six seconds of the game. It was history for team Prospect in the last round of the game. Dom Reyes was on fire after fending 6 points to hand the Prospects the up set of the game, 97-90.

IN the second game of the Docomo/UBA Men’s Basketball Tournament, IP&E Konflikt slipped past the Hoopaholics after a rather rough encounter with them. From the start of the game team Konflikt already ignited their winning rally in the first quarter and taking lead of the bout throughout the entire game.
Team Captain Elmer Esdrelon was seen on the court steadily guiding his team and being the star player of the night after garnering a total of 20 points in the entire game.
The Konflikts surpassed the Hoopaholics during the first quarter after the entire team took a piece of the game into their own hands nailing 23 points; 8 points ahead of the Hoopaholics, 23-16.
During the second quarter of the game, Robledo Talania banked 9 points for the Konflikt while Captain Esdrelon contributed his 6 points to put themselves 12 points ahead of the Hoopaholics in the grueling first half of the game, 44-32.
Upon entering the third quarter of the game it was all over for the Hoopaholics. Robeldo Talania, Ivan De Vero, and Elmer Esdrelon scored enough shots to hand the Hoopaholics the upset of the game by 7 points, 91-83.
