Michael Manglona, Eugene Manglona, and Sajh Hossain obtained an early lead against team Saina after each player bagged 4 points each and creating an impenetrable defense against Saina’s brigade.
Saina’s players were only able to slip past this wall twice to bank 4 points in the final two minutes for the first game.
By the end of the quarter team Sparks was ahead by 10 points 14-4.
Saina entered the second quarter with fierce courage and strong motivation to close that 10 point gap. Reinold Ferrer was able to collar 6 points playing fiercely with teammate Mike Saturno who contributed his four pence; Ferrer was able to deposit a total of 14 points respectively.
Unfortunately for team Saina, the Sparks took this herculean effort and turned it into their own motivation to play better. Michael Manglona was seen on the court again banking in 6 points for the Sparks. Along with Manglona were teammates Sajh Hossain and Eugene Manglona who both chipped in 4 points a piece to stretch the gap to 11 points by half time.
In the second half of the game the Sparks’ Eugene Manglona was able to fend off another 6 points for them while rising star Ichitaro Faisao banked a downtown shot followed by a swift jump shot after grabbing possession from Reinold Ferrer. By the end of the third quarter the Sparks blew a gargantuan gap between the two teams by 16 points, 46-30.
Team Saina entered the last quarter of the game bravely. Mike Saturno was able to score 6 points and teammate Reinold Ferrer was able to chip in 4 points but the Sparks were too far ahead already.
Eugene Manglona scored another 8 points in the final quarter repeatedly mulling team Saina until the final seconds of the game to amount to a 19 point advantage and gripping a 60-41 deficit.
