Missing the presence of their go to guy, Javis Pedro of the Shark Attack, team Palasia took advantage of the situation as they were able to end first quarter with a lead of three, 21 – 19. However towards the second half, Palasia found their offensive rhythm to cut the four point lead of the champs at the start of the fourth quarter. Daligdig, Galang, Palao, and Parley worked their way to a 19, 13, 13, and 15 total points respectively to slice the margin to just a point, 73 – 74, minutes away to the final buzzer. And after a duty foul form a player of team PPR, Parley coolly sank two free throws on the line to get the upperhand, 75 – 74, and finally get the win.
In other matches, MPIIC drubbed team MOE 2, 106 – 48 while SDA / PTA beat team KSG with a final score of 74 – 56, then team Galaxy have yet t suffer a setback as they continue to roll with another win against team Island Rhythm, 83 – 73. On September 22, after getting an impressive win on a previous assignment, team WCTC were not so successful as they folded against team PRR – Royals with a score of 80 – 72. Surangel and Sons went to its winning ways once more by beating team Sam’s Sharks, 110 – 90.21 teams split into two divisions, Government and Business, vying for this year’s championship crown.
