
SAIPAN International School hammered Hopwood Middle School 2, 12-1, in the boys middle school division of the NMIFA-PSS Interscholastic Soccer League SY23-24 at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville on Thursday.
SIS quickly shifted the pace early in the opening half to score two goals courtesy of Taiga Namai-Scoggins at the 8th minute mark and Matthew Hwang at the 12th.
After HOP 2’s Jiro Quindoza broke the silence two minutes later, SIS picked up the face. A total of nine goals were added led by Landon Springer with four while Namai-Scoggins’ hat-trick sealed the deal for SIS, 12-1.

On Tuesday, Mount Carmel School bested Saipan Community School, 3-0, with Joey Mostales, Damien Concepion and Jayson Tagabuel scoring a goal each.
On the same day, Francisco M. Sablan Middle School triumphed over Chacha Oceanview Middle School, 16-0, with Changwhan Ryu and De’anthony Aldan leading the onslaught with four goals each.
