Members are encouraged to join the annual Tournament of Champions on August 6 and 7 at LaoLao Bay Golf and Resort.
Rotary league underway
THE much awaited 20th Annual Rotary Basketball League is tentatively set for Friday, August 5. A mandatory meeting is scheduled for all team managers and coaches for Monday, August 1, 5:30 p.m. at the Garapan Community Development Center.
Matters to be discussed include: opening date and venue, ground rules, age requirements, team colors, possibility of playing games in Tinian, formation of coaches association, proposed calendar of events for 2011-2012, tentative opening dates for the 16-and-under and 13U leagues, and courses for coaches, referees, and table officials.
Teams that have confirmed include: Ol’ Aces, Sonics, GBR Rollers, San Antonio Sixers, Proa, RBC CK Blazers, RBC Susupe, and Tinian and Susupe Hi-5. Teams from Kagman, As Matuis, and Tanapag have not confirmed yet.
