Sherwin Williams remained unbeaten as Joe Ada and Jun Tabora tallied 26 and 20 points, respectively. The score-leading duo bagged eight points each in the first half to erase their two-point deficit. Dado Vistal connected a three-pointer to deliver a 33-33 deadlock by half-time.
Ada shot Sherwin Williams’ third basket in the first quarter and pulled through on back-to-back layups with Tabora. Jojo Garon scored six points in the opening seven minutes.
Having lost their grip on a two-point lead, team Fong’s Bakery struggled for possession by the third quarter. Keeping his distance from Tabora, Jomer Diyco blasted his third of four three-pointers with two baskets from Jayde Duhon.
Tabora and Ada however, maintained pressure on fast break plays and pulled away, 54-46 in the start of the final quarter.
Fighting his way for the rebound, Fong’s Bakery’s Jayson Bahillo couldn’t get his hands on the ball.
Ada secured two field goals before firing his first three-pointer. His layup-free throw combo saved the team from overtime near the final buzzer.
Ferdie Tobias squeezed in nine points while Danny Dayrit and Sonny Ebuen scored one apiece.
Fong’s Bakery now holds two wins and one loss.

Pacific 67, Inchcape 61
In an earlier game, team Inchcape continued their downward spiral with a 67-61 loss versus Pacific Postal.
Despite Inchcape’s four-point advantage in the second half, it all boiled down to the final quarter.
Pacific’s Mel Usi secured two free throws, scored on a jumper, and shot another free throw before striking a three-pointer. In almost no time, Usi’s efforts picked up speed for the team. Mico Usi – piling 16 points – followed suit with his third three-pointer
Inchcape’s top scorer Mac Castro fought a losing battle despite landing eight of his 23 points in the last eight minutes.
Danny Bicera, Mel, and Mico Usi scored a combined 18 points to mark their second win. Jesse Aque had no trouble smashing three more free throws to bury Inchcape.
Pacific Postal fell behind, 10-14 in the first quarter but took a two-point lead in end of the first half.
Miranda and Lawrence Buniag rallied with 14 points to recover Inchcape in the third quarter. Their team’s four-win streak was broken by Wings Travel last weekend.
