Suns scorch Rollers II in 1st Rotary encounter

Jimmy Brel and the rest of the Suns pack did it for their team to tie with Chalan Kanoa Saints in the team standings.

Suns and Saints are on no. 6 spot, carrying 2-3 win-lose tickets.

The only double-digit cager from Suns, Brel came out of the match without committing a single foul under his name.

Suns did not exactly get the right temperature of the game in the first period – they lagged behind Rollers II by six points with the score 20-14.

Eventually, during the second quarter, Suns were able to turn on the heat against the Rollers II cagers, allowing most of its players to score.

Mariano Lisua, Tom Salas added their share of medium range shots, driving through Rollers II defense, and connecting to the basket.

Rollers II’s Jerry Mabini tried his best to close in with Suns with his 17-point total but Suns proved too hot for him to handle alone.

Mabini and only seven other Rollers II cagers were able to mark some shots in the basket.

Nevertheless, Mabini was the highest scorer not only in his team, but also in the match.

However, such feat did not meet quite a hard resistance from its rival team.

Rollers II still have to settle at the bottom of the team standings with its 1-8 win-lose card.
