Atdit’s Julian Camacho notched a point against Troubleshooter’s Jesse Iglecias in the singles cricket round but that was the first and last point team Atdit saw in their favor.
The Troubleshooters zipped through the rest of the game to dominate in the Partners 501 Double in/ Double out round garnering two points, Partners Burma/New Half it Machine fending off another two points, Partners Wild and Crazy Cricket collecting two more points, Singles 301 Double in/Double out for a load of four points, and finally the Team 1001 Double in/ Double out to bag the entire game, 14-1.
Drivers 10, Enforcers 5
The game was thrown back and forth at the VFW Post but in the end team PSS Drivers clinched the win against team DPS Enforcers after sealing their victory at 10-5.
The Drivers were dominating during the early rounds of Single’s Cricket after team players Eric Atalig, Ed Diaz and Charley Peters each notched a point with the exemption of the score that went out to the Enforcer’s Frances Magofna.
The Drivers then moved on to the Partners Burma/New Half it Machine taking another two points for their own, and Partners Wild and Crazy Cricket nailing another two more points. But the Enforcers quickly got it together to dominate the Singles 301 Double in/Double out to take home three points.
Unfortunately for the Enforcers they did not have enough edge to push past the Drivers after losing the final, most critical round of the game, the Team 1001 Double in/ Double out round, 10-5.
CUC Powerplant prevails
Last season’s defending champion team CUC Powerplant crushed team NMC PROA at the Jonny’s Bar and Grill, 10-5, last Friday night.
The Powerplant dominated in the opening round of the Single’s Cricket after Noel Unay, Leo Cabrera, and Greg Repeki each notched a point. NMC PROA refused to let CUC Powerplant claim all the points; they stepped it up a notch upon entering the Partners 501 Double in/ Dobule out round.
Dean Borja, Sylvester Javier, Odin Garces, and Beverly Ngumeki worked together to bag all of the points in the 501 round to keep the Powerplant at bay.
The former champions then followed their earlier winning rally by winning the Partners Wild and Crazy Cricket round and Singles 301 Double in/ Double out round by a landslide only to lose the final round. Even the former champions lost the final round team PROA was still five points shy of sending home, 10-5.
