Composed of experienced, well – trained and full of knowledge when it comes to a game of digs and volleys, the women’s team has pointed out that they have a pretty good chance of humbling their opponent from different island countries. As head Coach Paul Fratiello expressed, “If everyone plays to the best of her ability, I see no reason why we shouldn’t be playing in the gold medal game.”
Coach Fratiello boasts of his superb starting six by stating their name and positions Holly Yamada and Hila Asanuma as Outside Hitters, Ona Claney and Lily Kerradel will be middle hitters, while Viola Kanai as opposite hitter, then Carol Etpison doing the honors as their setter. “Carol, Hila, Holly, and Viola have a lot of experience, so I’m confident these veteran players are going to perform.The key to our success will be how smart our talented young middle hitters hit and control the net,” said Fratiello.
