Western Union will be paced by their “silent operator” Bong Alambra who have been a force in the middle on both ends of the court during their match against the ATT – Jaguar awhere he blocked shot after shot to stop the offensive attack of their opponent. Joining Alambra is offensive minded Jun Bautista who has collected most of the points for his team. In addition, guards such as Clemenia and Tecson are expected to step up against the much smaller counterparts.
On the other hand, Rangers have to rely on post up plays by center Jay Naguit and accurate shooting from their perimeter players namely Mike Guevarra, Noel Avenido, and Rey Hinoza.
Final match will begin Sunday afternoon in which consolation game between ATT – Jaguar and Surangel starts at exactly 1:00 p.m. The 2009 Filipino Basketball League is operated and supervised by the Palau Basketball Federation and sponsored by PITI, CTSI-Logistics, J.Trading/ATT, Surangel and Sons, Ilocandia Association, Ilonggo Association, Pinoy Express, Aqua Drinking water and Western Union.
