BILLIE Pangelinan and Champi Villacanes continue to solidify their standings in their respective classes in the 2022 Monster Energy Points Race Series after earning 50 points in round 5 Sunday at Cow Town Raceway Park.
In the Power Puff Girls Class, it was Billie Pangelinan’s fourth 50-point finish in the series so far.
Going full throttle, Pangelinan led both heats to secure the overall first-place spot.
Nanako Celis performed strongly, trailing behind Pangelinan throughout the race, but just could not gain enough speed to slip through. She settled for second place in both heats for a total of 44 points.
Miyako Celis and Emelsha Cepeda’s battle for third place was intense with both scoring 38 points. But Miyako Celis broke the tie by besting Cepeda in heat 2.
Cepeda ended in fourth place followed by Sheanna Pangelinan in fifth with 16 points.
Another top contender
Champi Villacanes remains one of the top contenders in the Veterans Class as he earned his first flawless performance. He never eased off the gas and never looked back, winning both heats for a 50-point finish.
In second place was Dave Celis who also showed consistency with 44 points while Melvin Cepeda ended in third with 40 points. Charles Cepeda finished fourth with 36 points.
Fifth straight
In the Big Boy ATV Class, Christian Camacho has yet to be beaten as he recorded his fifth straight 50-point performance in the series. Rex Susulin clinched second place when he bested Henry Camacho in heat 2 to break the tie. Both garnered 42 points.
