STARTING today, Friday, until Saturday, Northern Marianas Athletics will host the 2022 Track & Field Challenge. Participants will compete in running, jumping and throwing events at the Oleai Sports Complex.

Today, Friday, events such as the long jump, shot put, 200m, 1600(1 mile), and 4×100 relay will begin at 5 p.m. for the male/female open and masters division.
On Saturday, starting at 6:15 a.m., the featured events are 5K, 100m, discus, javelin, 400m and 4×400 mix relay.
The duration of events will vary depending on the number of heats.
“Each year we organize a national championship as part of the requirement of World Athletics.” said NMA secretary general Robin Sapong.
