AFTER a year-long hiatus the Public School System All School Track & Field Championships are back.
The elementary qualifiers, followed by middle school and high school qualifiers, start on Tuesday, April 13, at the Oleai Sports Complex.
The elementary qualifiers are comprised of the U7, U9 and U11 age groups. These qualifiers will continue on April 16, 22 and 27 while the elementary championships will be held on Friday, May 7, and Saturday, May 8.
Group 2 of the elementary qualifiers will start on Thursday, April 15, and continue on April 20, 23 and 29.
The middle school (U14) and high school (U18) age groups will hold their qualifiers on April 21, 24, 28 and May 1 while the championships are set for May 14 and 15.
The elementary division athletes will compete in the 60m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1,500m and 4x100m relay as well as in the long jump and softball throw while the middle and high school athletes will participate in the same events in addition to the 3,000m, 4x400m relay, long jump, discuss throw, javelin throw and shot put throw.
The schools that have registered to compete are San Vicente Elementary School, William S. Reyes Elementary School, Grace Christian Academy, Mount Carmel School, Seventh-day Adventist School, Saipan International School, Agape Christian School, Brilliant Star School, Gregorio T. Camacho, Garapan Elementary School, Oleai Elementary School, Koblerville Elementary School, Saipan Community School as well as Rota and Tinian schools.
