WITH the 2023 Marianas Racing Association Monster Energy Points Race Series nearing its end, the top riders solidified their lead in their respective classes during round six on Sunday at the Cowtown Raceway Park in Marpi.
Bentley Koshiro and Nakoa Torres recorded their third 50-point performance. Koshiro leads the Peewee 1 class with a total of 150 points while Torres leads the Peewee ATV class with 238 points followed by Rockson Cabrera in second place with 100 points.
In the Mini 1 class, Elleayah Cruz recorded her fourth perfect run to garner a total of 200 points. Kaleb Reyes is in second place with 44 points.
Anella Igitol leads the Mini ATV with a total of 194 points while Kimason Cabrera is in second place with 90 points. In third to fifth places are Franchesca Yumul with 67 points; Kassidy Camacho, 50; and Keoni Rosario, 44.
In the Mini II class, TJ Ferrer and Billie Pangelinan gave spectators a good show on Sunday. Pangelinan finished first in heat 1, but Ferrer stepped up where it mattered most, topping heat 2 to win the tiebreaker and claim first place. Both earned 47 points. Nanako Celis finished third with 40 points while Calix Cruz came in fourth with 36 points.
Ferrer is still the overall leader with 218 points, but Pangelinan and Celis, who share second place, are only three points behind with 215 points.
In third and fourth places are Calix Cruz with 158 points and Carter Castro with 102.
