JONNY’S Ridin Darrty bagged the “A” Division Bud Light Cup of the SEDA Bud Light Dart League by outlasting the 6JMS Drunken Dragons, 9-8, Monday at 6JMS Sports Bar.
It was a fairly even match with the Drunken Dragons’ Darion “Ice Box” Jones and Tony “El Tigre” Castro drawing first blood in the first round, and Ridin Darrty’s Charlie Peters and KJ “KrazyK” Villagomez notching the second round to split the opening Partners Crazy Cricket game, 1-1.
Both teams also split the Singles 501 game 2-2. However, in the next partners game, Ridin Darrty reigned supreme as Peters and Villagomez scored their second win of the night while James “Soul-lit” Benavente and June “Awesome” Nunez redeemed themselves with their first win as a team to sweep the Partners Regular Cricket game and seize the lead, 5-3.
Ridin Darrty then split the next Partners 701 game, but their time in the driver’s seat was short-lived as the Drunken Dragons ruled the Singles Regular Cricket game with Jones, Castro and Kenneth “Senpai” Kaneshi pulling a 3-1 run to even the score, 7-7.
After splitting the next Partners Half-It, Ridin Darrty’s Peters, Benavente, Villagomez and Nunez overcame the Drunken Dragons with precision and aggression to clinch the final Team 1001 Cherry In/Double Out game, win the match and take home the “A” Division Bud Light Cup.
