RUN Saipan’s annual end of the year event is set for Saturday, Dec. 31, in Marpi.
The “Run From 22” race starts from the Japanese temple and will proceed to the parking lot of the former Mariana Resort.
Participants in the one-mile race will experience a high-level timing system as Run Saipan will use the shoe tag timing system of OneTime Sports to see who will be crowned the “King and Queen of the 1 Mile.”
“For people always wondering what their one-mile time is in a measured road race course with ideal and optimal conditions — this is your chance,” Run Saipan President Edward Dela Cruz Jr. said.
“For everyone bragging how fast they run their mile at the island relay — this is also your chance to prove it on a timed and official course,” he added.
Dela Cruz said the event is an “all out competition for everyone — whether it’s against someone or themselves.”
“That’s why I had it made at the end of the year for people to end it with a bang,” he said. “We want to show everyone that they can break through their limitations. Run Saipan is here to prove to you you’re unbreakable mentally. For people smack-talking about their fast mile to their friends and family this is your once chance in the year to prove it.”
