SHERLYN Jones bested the competition in the CNMI Women’s Golf Association on Saturday at the Kingfisher Golf Links.
Jones was nearly unmatched as she closed the front nine with a gross score of 41 and then slightly improved her performance on the back nine with a score of 39 for a gross total of 80. With a handicap of 9, her net score of 71 gave her the top spot.
In second place was Lorraine Babauta who held a steady performance throughout the course. She grossed 41 on both the front and back nines for a total of 82. With a handicap of 5, her net score was 77.
Yi Su Jeong, who finished third, had a decent output of 42 and 41 on the front and back nines for a gross total of 83. With a handicap of 3, her net score was 80.
Kim Sae Hee also had a net score of 80 but was bested in the playoff score card with a 42 gross on both the front and back nines.
Kim Mio, who finished fifth, likewise notched a net score of 80 but her gross scores were 50 and 45.
