ALONG with the TRAC Tri Team tryout, the Taga Kids 2021 was also held Saturday with over 30 children participating in the event.
In the 9- to 12-year-old age category, Vivian Chung and Philip James Seman finished first in their respective divisions.
The route took them around Paupau Beach starting with a 100m swim, two loops around the beach on the bike, and a two-lap run to cap the race.
In the female division, Vivian Chung topped the charts with a finish time of 00:14:54 followed by Catalina Frink at 00:19:19.
In the male division, Philip James Seman, who came in second overall with a time of 00:15:17, was numero uno followed by Keoni Ruszala who clocked 00:15:53; Marco Paulo Castro, 00:23:06; and Enzo Castro, 00:24:30.
In the 5- to 8-year-old age category, Scarlett Burrel and Gabriel Walsh were the top racers.
Scarlett Burrel finished first in the women’s division and overall with a time of 00:06:34 while Leilani Ruszala was second place, 00:06:57; and Lucy Thomsen was third, 00:07:05.
Fourth and fifth were Gwen Retardo, 00:07:08; and Lovel Speath, 00:07:36.
In the male division, Gabriel Walsh took the top spot, crossing the finish line with a time of 00:07:35 followed by Beau Bauer who clocked 00:07:57; Vince Seman Jr., 00:08:28; Cortland Winkfield, 00:08:36; and Shane Mabutas, 00:09:17.
And lastly in the mixed relay, Team A&L stole the show with a finish time of 00:12:14 followed by Team Sus Imposters, 00:12:25; and Team 1st Tri, 00:21:48.
