Sachico N. Mafnas, Aqua Resort Club director of operations, said reaching 20 or more years of operations is not an easy feat for anyone in the hotel industry, especially with the economic downturn.
There won’t be any splashy anniversary celebration for Aqua Resort Club this year because of the hard economic times, Mafnas said, but in their own little way, the resort will show their appreciation to their loyal customers for the whole month of July.
Special promotions
Mafnas said that as a kickoff, Aqua Resort will be offering special room rates for their clients — an overnight stay just for $100, including breakfast for two, free extra bed, free early check-in at 10 a.m., late check-out at 2 p.m., free WiFi internet access, and 40 percent discount on all 60-minute massage at the ARC Health Spa during your stay.
Customers are also invited to enjoy the 50 percent happy hour price slashes on all beverages at the Palmera Wet Bar or at the Vino Bar from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and 20 percent discount when you buy ice cream at the Aqua Café.
Restaurant promos
Due to popular demand, Mafnas said they have extended Seafood Night to two nights a week — Mondays and Fridays.
“Seafood Night used to be on Fridays only but we gave in after more clients asked us to have another Seafood Night,” Mafnas said.
Seafood Nights give diners a chance to feast on sumptuous, juicy barbequed or grilled clams, crabs, lobster, oysters, the freshest fish of the day, and more.
During Steak Nights, diners can relish in a leisurely meal of the juiciest steaks on island plus the hotel’s other specialties.

Meals come with bottomless soda, juice, iced tea or beer. All meals are $30 each, with special discounts for local residents.
Celebration special
For the whole month of July, Aqua Resort Club will offer huge discounts at its restaurants for local residents.
“We are offering a 25 percent discount for all local residents for our Sunday Brunch every Sunday, for our Seafood Night every Monday and Friday, and during the Steak Night every Saturday,” Mafnas said.
She said the hotel’s regular discount for meals is only 20 percent.
“This is our special treat to show our thanks to our customers who have been with us through the past years,” Mafnas said.
As the only resort on island with 91 cottage-type rooms facing the pool and the sea amid lush gardens, the hotel sends a “WELCOME” message to all guests.
