THE Truth is it seems WE the People have only ONE (Senator Celina Babauta) who is truly fighting FOR the People against “Republican subterfuge” by putting a check on the Governor. I’m sure the concern of many voters is WHY hasn’t any of the other Democrats joined in to HELP her in the struggle FOR the People to keep our Governor HONEST & FAIR! Arnold signing the budget that HIS emissaries in the Legislature prepared in secret should be alarming to the rest of us like it was for Senator Babauta who recognized the budget DID NOT go through the normal & proper process and that it was not prudent nor fair to pay the Casino Commission a single penny. Truth & Facts show the Casino Commission was SUPPOSED to have been collecting their salaries from Best Sunshine/IPI, as the Commissioners even claimed to be owed 17 million dollars in back pay. So WHY are WE the People being FORCED again by Arnold & Crew to pay anything for NOTHING! I warned about the dysfunctionality of the Casino Commission failing to collect any of OUR 164 million owed to the Government and OUR Community Chess of 77 million and not even a penny of their own salaries. I also wrote & WARNED about how “the Chinese Government said it was not going to allow their citizens to travel to the CNMI to gamble” yet Republicans have us chasing Chinese Tourists while still pushing gambling – a dichotomy that is absolutely Ka duku!
I have warned about how Arnold & Republicans have “absolute power” and WE are seeing in our faces the “absolute corruption” because they hold ALL the levers of Power in OUR Government, as WE the People must make a “transformational shift in the governing of the CNMI from Republican to ANY new & different group of people.” Arnold just ignored the 300 thousand a year WE are wasting on the Cannabis Commission, he was scheming to poli-trick the People out of millions in taxes for an airline WE didn’t need. In fact, Arnold is so powerful & disrespectful, he didn’t bother to offer any form of explanation to HIS people as to WHY he didn’t want to get rid of the Cannabis Commission and he didn’t offer an explanation to HIS people on WHY he didn’t sign MACS’ Qualifying Certificate that was so highly publicized in the news as being good for the CNMI. He just ignored his fiduciary required duty to explain to HIS people. But his explanation would’ve PROVED Ambrose was RIGHT on both of these issues and Republicans can’t let Ambrose get any credit – BIGOTRY! The 1.25 million to purchase IPI’s assets has nothing to do with opening a casino when IPI is in Bankruptcy, and furthermore, WE only need “ONE Gaming Commission,” as 3 commissions aren’t need — “3-GOP Emissary OUTPOSTS!
Now he is forcing the People to pay HIS commissioners in a venture that is in pure conflict with the effort to get Chinese Tourists. I knew there would be a lot for Ambrose to write about mainly because I knew the Governor didn’t have a plan for Economic Recovery nor a real plan for anything else, as Arnold is just “winging-it” picking and choosing what to DO and what to Respond to like he did in responding to the U. S. military, not the People, to the pivot away from China! WE can certainly use the Chinese Tourists, but WE can’t and shouldn’t try to turn the CNMI, especially our downtown District of Garapan, into “China-East” like Ralph was trying to do even giving away to IPI the last Japanese Hotel!
I’m sure readers remember Rep. Marrisa Flores was trying to hold the Casino Commission accountable, but it seems the Republicans got to her and silenced her efforts. I’m sure readers remember former Senator Edith DL Guerrero who was trying to access the “interest money at MPLT to be given to the NMDs” but Republicans stopped that too. The same Republican subterfuge got to my former student Democrat Rep. Diego Camacho who wanted to reduce the salaries of the Cannabis Commission, but it just died. WE may never fix our Cannabis Tourism Industry until the Republicans are GONE! It should be obvious to readers like it is to me that our Republicans are just “RUINING the CNMI” and it’s all because WE gave them all the power to do as they please without any accountability to the very People who OWN the Government!
I can’t say thanks enough to Senator Babauta for at least trying and I’m sure there are a lot of People who join me in thanking her, because it is just getting tooooo darn ka duku in OUR government. Arnold is running again while at the same time he is BEGGING for help on HOW to help the business community, as WE are following a Governor who doesn’t have a clue on how to fix our economy nor does he know which direction WE are going with our Economy! Under normal political conditions on the mainland, Arnold’s goose would be COOKED by the masses of people who would be protesting for his resignation literally. Arnold seems to think he’s a Trumpian now forcing things on us as WE, in the CNMI, have only ONE (Senator Babauta) like in Sodom & Gomorrah, just as I was predicting. The sad & pathetic part is not even her own Democrat Party members are trying to HELP her and I’m sure it has to do with Ambrose pleading for accountability as if Ambrose is wrong. But Ambrose is not hurting the CNMI, and Republicans don’t need any help destroying our economy! But this is the TRUE pathetic state of the CNMI full of Republican subterfuge with virtually no accountability on our Governor & HIS Party. WE the People must CHANGE if WE are to get a BETTER Governor for a BETTER CNMI!
