Against SIS 2, MCS 1 displayed complete control from start to finish with teamwork and devastating finishes.
MCS 1’s Jeremiah Diaz’s quick reactions fended off SIS 2’s attacks while fellow Knights Merrick Toves and Richard Steele aided from all sides for the setup and the finish to give their team a comfortable lead early in the game.
The SIS 2 Geckos tried to stand their ground with a few successful returns, forcing the Knights to commit errors, but the Geckos were eventually silenced, losing 7-21 to MCS 1.
Mount Carmel’s fourth match was against a top contender, Marianas High School 1, but even the Dolphins could not bring down the Knights.
MCS 1 played aggressively, blocking each attempted spike of the opposing team while capitalizing on each free ball to establish control.

ACS 2 put up a fight against MCS 1, but the Torchbearers eventually bowed to the MCS 1 juggernaut, 11-21.
MCS 1’s toughest match was against its sibling team, MCS 2. But once again, MCS 1 was an irresistible force, collecting its sixth consecutive win, 21-15.
Pure hustle
MHS 1 ended the day with a 4-1 record.
Pure hustle was the Dolphins’ biggest asset. Their first victory was against MCS 2 as MHS 1’s Nilo Calimag, Raiki Tababa and Blake Mister led the onslaught with early returns and strong spikes.
Although the MCS 2 Knights gave a good fight, they could not keep up with MHS 1’s relentless pressure. The Dolphins won, 21-14.
MHS 1 then bested ACS 1, 21-16, and sister team MHS 3, 21-11.
After their loss to MCS 1, the MHS 1 Dolphins’ momentum appeared to stall, but they managed to get back up to take down ACS 2, 21-17, for an overall 4-1 record.
