Winners in the 12 years old and over category are 13-year-old Janet Estrallado, an 8th grader from Hopwood Junior High School, whose artwork garnered 34 points; Dowen Mae Jocson, a senior from Marianas High School, who got 32 points; and Josie Santos who got 26 points.
Estrallado went home with a case of Foremost Reduced Fat Milk, a case of Foremost Non-Fat milk, $25 Athlete’s Foot certificate, one Pacific Islands Club waterpark pass for two, $30 Docomo call cards, 4 Scoops coupons, an IT&E chair, an IT&E gift pack, assorted toys, a wallet, and a medal.
Jocson received a case of reduced fat milk and a case of non-fat milk from Foremost, $25 certificate from Boarderline, $20 Docomo call cards, 4 Scoops coupons, IT&E gift pack, and assorted toys.
Santos was not able to attend the awarding ceremony.
Estrallado said she was “very, very shocked” at winning the award. She was accompanied by her father and her sister at the award ceremony.
Jocson said she was really surprised because her entry was an art project required from them and she never expected anything.
For Jocson, art is a hobby.
The three winners in the 11 years old and under category are Angelica Narvaez, 11, from GTC Elementary School, whose artwork garnered 26 points; Seung Yeon Han of Saipan Community School, who got 24 points; and Michelle Palacios, a 5th grade student from SDA School.
Narvaez received a medal, two cases of milk, $25 Lollipops certificate, a PIC waterpark for two, $30 Docomo call cards, Scoops coupons, IT&E chair, and assorted toys. Narvaez, who won third place in a previous contest, said art is her favorite subject and she loves drawing designs of clothes.
Narvaez was accompanied by GTC Elementary School principal Charlotte Camacho who said they were very excited that one of their very own students won the contest.
“It’s all about wellness. With [the Public School System], it’s all about producing well-rounded individuals and of course, in order for them to learn, they have to be well,” Camacho said.
Han was in South Korea and was represented by SCS teacher Amanda Kloppel. Han received a medal, a $25 certificate from Lollipops, $20 Docomo Pacific call cards, Scoops coupons, and assorted toys.
Palacios said she was very happy and look forward to joining similar contests. She received a medal, $25 All Star Sporting Goods Certificate, Scoops coupons and assorted toys.
Awarding the prizes to the winners were Glen D. Hunter, group business manager, Transpacific International Inc., Stella T. Fong, vice president, Transpacific International Inc., and Nola Hix, wireless-marketing associate, IT&E.

Glen D. Hunter expressed his gratitude to all supporters and participants of the Health & Wellness Fair and the poster-making contest.
