Zheng Zhi Zhong, president of Guandong Renfeng Investment Co. Ltd., the firm’s vice president Tsoi Mok Sau and nine other officials were invited to Saipan by Mayor Juan B. Tudela.
Tsoi said the Saipan mayor visited them in Guangzhou last April.
Founded in 2001, Guandong Renfeng Investment is a group of real estate, construction and human resources companies that deal with “large scale” construction projects in south China.
Tsoi said they will conduct a “market research” while on Saipan and will also visit Rota.
According to Zheng, since they can only stay here for a few days they will have to visit again for future studies so they can make specific plans.
Roman Matsumoto, the economic adviser of the Saipan mayor, said the group is interested in a Rota casino,
Tudela thanked Zheng and his group for the visit which, he added, should show why he traveled to China and met with the investors there.
