Xu pleaded guilty to buying a Social Security card with intent to later sell it.
As part of the plea agreement, the court dismissed from the charges filed against Xu one count of attempt and conspiracy to commit identification document fraud, and one count of possession with intent to use or transfer five or more identification documents.
The court set Xu’s sentencing for Jan. 26, 2010.
Munson granted the motion of Xu’s attorney Steven Pixley to name Han Yo Lee as his client’s third-party custodian.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Kirk Schuler prosecuted the case.
Munson placed Xu under 24-hour house arrest and ordered her not to leave the residence of her custodian “unless there is an emergency at which time she is to notify the U.S. Probation Officer.”
Xu was directed to execute a $5,000 unsecured bond.
