Sgt. Michael Rafael said the driver and his passenger were both transported to the hospital for injuries after the hit and run incident on Sunday.
The victim’s car was making a left turn to the Meyuns PCS store at 1:23 am on Sunday when the suspect’s appeared from behind and hit the victim’s car.
The police report indicated that the suspect’s car was driving on a high speed.
The suspect fled the scene immediately.
Meanwhile a car with an Airai plate went to Mobil gas station in Topside for a fuel on Sunday night.
Rafael said the driver asked for a fuel worth $5 but only paid $3 to the gasoline staff and left immediately.
The incident was reported to the police at 6:25 pm on Sunday.
A grand larceny incident was also reported to the police when a man went to Harbor Lights bar in Malakal and grabbed a cell phone from one of the waitresses there.
The suspect fled at once with the cell phone which is worth $300.
