Returning at-large Board members elected were Dr. Caleb Otto, Pasquana Flowers, and Thelma Gaymann, while Christabel Gbewonyo was elected as a new Board member.The athlete’s representative, who completes the Board, will be chosen by the swimmers by the end of January.
Informative presentations on the year’s activities were given by President Judy Otto, Coach Tina Shima, athletes’ representative Antja Flowers and by Dr. Caleb Otto, the PSA representative to the PNOC.
In addition to the elections, Board decisions made at the AGM included the PSA fee structure for 2010 ($60 per year for family memberships, $30 per year for individual memberships) and a decision not to add a “group membership” category at this time.Membership applications and information are available at the national pool in Meyuns (488-6307) or contact President Judy ([email protected]) or Secretary Lola ([email protected]).
The PSA welcomes all people young and old, fast or slow, skilled or not who are interested in swimming for recreation, exercise or competition to join the activity at our national pool.There is something for everyone.
• Adult exercise – Monday-Friday 6-7 AM; Wednesday 6:15-7 PM
• Classes – beginners and advanced beginners for kids
• Adult classes – Tuesday and Thursday 6:30-7:30 PM
• Master’s coaching – Tuesday and Thursday 11:30-1 PM
• Competitive swimming practice – Minnows (9 years of age and under); Juniors (10 years of age & up); national team (based on performance)
• General swim – 6-7 AM; 11:30-1 PM; 3-7 PM Monday – Friday and 3-6 PM Saturday.
