Blanco-Maratita said she already talked with Villagomez and referred the matter to Education Commissioner Rita Sablan.
“The commissioner will look into it and has plans of talking to him,” Blanco-Maratita said.
In a letter to the Variety, Villagomez said on many occasions he had to work even during his lunch break.
“On several occasions this year my supervisors altered my time card because they say I did not clock out for lunch. This is unfair because the demands of a special education bus driver require me to work these lunch hours. To cut my paycheck is unfair. I deserve to be paid for hours worked,” his letter stated.
Villagomez said he has no problem meeting the demands of his job and that he is flexible and is willing to work long hours.
But he said he deserved to be paid for his overtime work.
