The chamber aims to promote and recognize the academic excellence of students through its educational scholarship fund.
Each year, the chamber receives several applications for scholarships which are judged by a selection committee based on a lot of factors. Since its inception in 2001, thousands of dollars have been awarded to deserving students from public and private schools in the CNMI.
Last year, the chamber awarded six scholarships of $1,500 each to high school seniors and two $1,500 scholarships to students of the Northern Marianas Trades Institute.
The other recipients enrolled at Northern Marianas College as well as at institutions on Guam or in the states.
