“This scholarship is specifically for the kids from our surrounding community. There are a lot of children who will benefit from being in a small school setting to receive the nourishment and education they need. Our teachers have an individual focus in the classroom. We are looking forward to bring up to 10 new students through this scholarship,” said Angie Perez, the school’s public relations director.
She said they are still collecting funds for this scholarship, and although the 5K Hope Run was very successful it’s only a beginning to reaching their goal.
“We are still accepting donations and asking local businesses for contributions to this fund. We are confident that God will provide to make this possible,” Perez said.
SDA School would like to thank all the participants as well as Subway, Island Apparel, and Elite Printing for sponsoring this event.
“Also, we would like to thank all those who donated gift certificates or cash gifts: Aqua Resort, Bestseller, Capital Bowling, Coral Ocean Point, D’Elegance Café, Hardt Eye Clinic, Hyatt Regency Saipan, IT & E, Joeten, Marianas Resort and Country Club, Marianas Go-Cart, McDonald’s, Modern Stationery, PIC Water Park, Pizza Hut, Saipan Bike Pro, Spicy Thai Restaurant, and Thai House Restaurant,” Perez said.
