The event will be held at American Memorial Park on Wednesday afternoon.
Ayako Matsumoto, vice president of Pacific Eagle Enterprises Inc., the event coordinator, said about 200 Jayceesare expected to arrive by plane today, while 650 more will be arriving aboard the MV Fuji Maru on Wednesday morning.
“This is a great opportunity for Saipan to have these young business entrepreneurs for a two-day trip here. It can help boost the local tourism,” Matsumuto said.
On Wednesday, beginning at 5:30 p.m., the Jaycees will meet with members of the local community to experience local culture, food, dances and to know more about the islands.
Matsumuto said there will be games and contests and other entertainment, including dance presentations from the Saipan Awaodori team.
On Thursday morning, the group will visit the Last Command Post, the memorial shrines at Banzai Cliff and Bird Island.
“Fuji Maru will be leaving on June 10,” she added.
The Jaycees first visited Saipan in 2006. In 2007, over 425 of them returned to Saipan aboard the same ship.
The MV Fuju Maru is regularly used by Japanese businesses that offer their workers incentive cruises.
