Basketball League at the Gilbert C. Ada Gym last Monday.
Tony Diaz helped Beck’s catch up in this period by making three consecutive two-pointers.
He and Ed Diaz were the only ones who scored in the first quarter as the Mojitos put an early clamp on their offense.
Wowie Abuel who controlled Mojitos’ offense also blasted from outside the rainbow line to help put up an eight-point lead in the first quarter.
Bad passes held the Mojitos back and Beck’s took the chance to get back at them curbing their score to eight points in the second quarter, as Fitial and Camacho’s three-pointers gave Beck’s a four-point lead before the half break.
Tony went on pouring two-pointers in the third quarter while Ed collected fouls to help protect Beck’s lead with his two pairs of free throws. Jason Benavente stretched the lead further by capping this period with his three-pointers.
Beck’s tightened their defense in the fourth quarter allowing only Dave Sablan and Pie Villacrusis to carry Mojito Hi-5.
