Natibu clinches pennant over Island Rebels

With Roy Celis leading off a solo home run, the Island Rebels had two more HR’s to lay down a seven-run cushion in the top of the first inning.

Kent Kalen singled for Natibu in the bottom of the first, Dustin Quitano got first base on error and JR Suel walked before Norita launched the grand slam to cut the Island Rebels’ lead down to three runs.

Bruce Norita fired a three-run home run and Natibu brought the game back to square one as the game moved o the second inning.

The Island Rebels had scoreless third inning, and Natibu grabbed the big lead in the bottom of the second with Bruce Norita clearing the loaded bases again with his second home run.

The Island Rebels strengthened their defense allowing Natibu to have only one run in four innings. BJ Babauta hit a run-scoring double while Toi Celis fired a two-run single to tie the ball game in the top of this sixth inning.

The Island Rebels had five base hits to regain their lead in the top of the seventh.

Norita’s solo shot gave Natibu a strong start then, Bruce and Pete Tegeita drove in runs with their sacrifice flies to get even again, forcing an extra inning.

Marvin Palacios scored a run, then, Natibu cut them short in the eight inning.

Kent Kalen fired a two-run home run securing Natibu’s 19-18 victory.

Calikano Falcons 13, Freedom Air Flyers 3

DJ Omar hit a two-run home run helping the Calikano Falcons to rout the Freedom Air Flyers.

Omar fired it after a scoreless first inning, as the Falcons rallied in the second with Darren Pua, Drew Magofna hitting an RBI single apiece and Ben Cabrera hitting an RBI double to cap their eight-run second inning.

The Falcons added three more runs in the fourth, two in the sixth and they grabbed the 10-run mercy rule.

Berdax 18, San Roque 5

Kelvin Kapileo, Jack Guerrero and Franco Flores homered to lead Berdax rout San Roque.

Flores led off a walk in the top of the first inning while Kapileo and Frank Robert scored runs on errors to set the lead for Berdax.

Manny Tenorio and Tony Luzama doubled and scored runs then, Chad Atalig and Larry Robert added runs to cut the lead in the bottom of the second inning.

Kapileo and Jack Diaz’ homers in the third help Berdax regain the lead in the top of the third inning. Kapileo and Bill Camacho had an RBI single apiece and Shine Tenorio fired a run-scoring double to widen the gap in the fifth inning.

Flores hit a solo shot, Kapileo drove in a run with a double for his fourth base hits and Shine drove in a run with a sacrifice fly, and Berdax never looked back.

Team Familia 14, Lancheros 6

John Guerrero, Ryan Ada and Jr Brel homered to lead Team Familia in beating the Lancheros.

Guerrero’s two-run home run gave Team Familia the lead in the bottom of the first inning but the Lancheros were quick to beat them as John Tomokane and Jun Aguon hitting an RBI single apiece.

The Lancheros had three more runs in their sixth inning, but Team Familia pounded them again in the bottom of the sixt with Brel hitting a two-run home run, Chris Alepuyo and Guerrero knocking in an RBI single apiece.
