Starting this Friday, the mayor said they will start the dog eradication drive in the Garapan tourist district.

“They should better license their dogs now. If we catch them the owners will pay impounding fees,” he added.

Based on the dog rules, the fee for the first impound is $16 on top of the $5 boarding fee per day.

The fee for the second impound is $32 and a $5 boarding fee per day. For the third impound, the fee is $47 and $5 boarding fee per day. There is also a penalty fee of $20.

The dog transfer station in Chalan Kanoa will soon be operational, Flores said.
