Aim-Low, Roc-It take lead in Rocball

The Teachers hold sole possession of second place with a 7-2 record while Alpha Q and Give-a-Hoot share third place at 6-3. Just-Do-It has just over a 50 percent win record with five wins and four losses in fourth place.

Just-Do-It needs at least one of their next two games to dodge the first cut. They are scheduled to play IDK and Alpha Q.

With only two rounds and 12 games to go, six teams are in danger of elimination. The Geeks (4-5) could make the cut if they win both their last two games.

Team Lay Low (3-6) stands in sixth place and won’t advance even if they win both their last two games. Balls of Fury, Dream Team, and the G-Sparks hold one win and seven losses each. IDK has no wins.

In the stats race, Give-A-Hoot’s Damart Teregeyo took the lead as Rocball’s heavy hitter with nine aces, three skunks, two jams, eight kees, and three goals for a total of 51 points.

The Geeks’ Jonathan Inacio, who picked up his “Master’s Skills” title by scoring a backcourt kee in his last game, trailed Teregeyo with 20 aces and skunks, one jam, one kee, and two goals for 49 points.

As many as six teams may be eliminated in the end of the season’s 11th round. Depending on which teams make the first cut, Rocball’s second phase will start a new round robin series.

In the past, groups that made the cut were allowed to recruit players from eliminated teams.
