World famous Cirque Shanghai to perform on Guam

It’s a show unlike any other, and Guam will have the chance to experience five amazing shows from Sept. 23 to 25 at the University of Guam field house.

Cirque Shanghai, also known as “Bai Xi” which means “100 amazing acts,” dates back to the Han Dynasty more than 2000 years ago when Chinese acrobatic spectacles were first called “bai xi” in reference to the performers’ seemingly limitless skills.

The show will feature some of China’s best on stage, via aerial acrobatics, plate spinning, contortion, balancing acts, hoop diving, martial arts, and more.

The first show will be held Friday night at 7 p.m. The following shows on Saturday and Sunday will be held at 1 and 5 p.m. General admission tickets cost $25 for adult and $15 for children ages 3 to 12. They are available for purchase at all Docomo locations.  Tickets for reserved seating cost $50 and are available for purchase only at the Docomo Century Plaza store location.

The show is a benefit for the UOG Endowment Foundation.
