CPA board renews contracts of airport, seaport managers

The two CPA managers each have one-year contracts.

In an interview with Variety, Lizama welcomed the good news.

“It’s always an honor to have the board’s confidence.”

She said she’ll continue to make sure that safety and security are upheld to the highest standards.

The first woman named manager of the seaport operations, Lizama vowed to do all efforts for revenues to continue coming in.

She first began as secretary for the air traffic controller in 1997 and gradually worked her way up.

Lizama, who is currently pursuing her graduate studies in psychology from the University of Phoenix online program  was named seaport manager in Oct. 2008.

She also held the position of  acting executive director in 2009 for three months.

CPA has 198 full time positions.
