Dulfo tallied 12 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter to counter a swift offensive from varsity player Brandon Aulerio and Joshua Kiyoshi.
Aulerio, Kiyoshi, and Aleto E. hammered five three-pointers earlier in the match to hand Jacem a four-point lead.
Learning from their mistakes, team Cellular Pro posted a man-to-man defense to keep Aulerio off the basket.
“Their three-pointers were killing us and we had to stop them from shooting,” Dulfo told Variety.
Jude Loste eked out only one basket in each of the first three quarters and scored three more points for a nine total. Back-to-back layups from Norita and a two-pointer from Hernandez slowly turned the game around.
Before they knew it, Cellular Pro had already taken the lead, 44-40 in the closing 10 minutes.
Kiyoshi kept Jacem alive on two more three-pointers. Lawrence Deleon Guerrero, Aulerio, and Freddy Litulumar each posted six more points.
Dulfo fired back with a series layups and landed two free throws to end the game. Norita totaled 13 points while Rotap and Loste scored nine apiece.
Aulerio lead the scores with 26 points.
Cellular Pro now holds two wins and two losses.
