Inos: Don’t lose hope

From first proclamation signed at 9 a.m. to the last one at past 3 p.m., Inos spoke about the government’s financial struggles as he thanked everyone for making “sacrifices.”

“Don’t lose hope. Continue to do your best and let’s think about the people we serve,” he told government officials and personnel who witnessed the proclamation signing events.

Government service, he added, “is not about the money, not about our wages, but about our commitment to help the people. If we can walk an extra mile, let’s do it.”

The proclamations signed were May 2 to 8, CNMI Correctional Officers and Employees Week; May 15 to 21, Emergency Medical Services Week/May 18, Emergency Medical Services for Children Day; May 15 to 21, CNMI Safe Boating Week; May 15 to 21, CNMI Police Week; May 15, Peace Officers Memorial Day; May 23 to June 5, Ticket Enforcement Mobilization Month;  Foster Care Month; Older Americans Month; Tourism Month; and Mental Health Awareness Month.
