Joe Mongkeya pulled off a two-run single for the Comets at the top of the fourth, sending Austin Indalacios and Roberto Paragados to home plate. Paragados hit an RBI double earlier, driving starting pitcher Erik Cruz in.
The Comets – connecting no runs in the next two innings – stopped the Falcons with a solid defense.
Falcons’ short stop Juan Quitugua hit a triple and returned home at the bottom of the sixth thanks to Logan Martin’s single. Consecutive outs from Martin, JD Pangelinan, and Ace Evangelisted ended the game quickly.
Comets’ Aurel Mendiola went 2-for-3, landing one run and two singles. Cruz went 1-for-3 with two runs, hitting one single at the top of the second. Indalacios, Mendiola, and Paragados posted one run apiece.
Quitugua went 3-for-3 with two runs, two triples, and a double to lift the struggling Falcons.
