Kevin Tudela, Mike Mancao, Eddie Manalili, and Beo Nirochongor managed to work as one to post the fastest time of 50:20 vying against Marianas Baptist School’s Ji Hoon Choi, Kyle Park, Min Sung Kim, and Min Seok Kim who clocked in at 52:13. MBA’s sister team did not complete the race until 17 seconds later at 1:09.8. Team MBA 2 was composed of John Arugoy, Scott Kim, Daniel Ban, and Myoungki Oh.
In the U18 female division only one team vied for the 4×100 relay race. Team MHS will now be joining others who will represent Saipan in the championsip round. Team MHS was composed of Jerlalyn Castillo, Lia Rangamar, Reylynn Sapong, and Rachel Abrams who worked together to notch a record time of 58:78.
In the U12 category Dandan Elem. School reigned supreme after Lester Cave, Joshua Mendiola, Tommy Son Lee, and JC Piring finishing the relay at 59:89. Dandan defeated a pool of eight schools vying for the top spots. WSR settled for second place. The Kingfishers clocked in at 1:01:09. Kobler Elem. School’s Nathan Nogis, Frank Tydingco, Goodwill Kelwlaw, and Rodlee Oscar earned them third place after timing in at 1:01:25.
Angeline Rejano, Joeny villagomez, Veronnie Ann Babauta, and Virginia Imperial nailed first place with a time of 1:02:72 in the U12 female’s pool topping Gregorio Tenorio Camacho, and William S. Reyes who posted 1:04:90 and 1:05:77 respectively.
Other winners included K.E.S’ Jared Reyes, Lawrence Warswich, Coby Santos, and Kenneth Kaipat placing for the U10 while K.E.S remained supreme in the females courtesy of Tyrie Ann Thay, Divina Rejano, Stephanie Rejano, and Christina Pude who posted a record time of 1:07:87.
“Today’s weather was really hot. I would like to remind coaches to please look over the revamped schedule leading up to the championship rounds and to help us run the races smoothly by arriving on time and having team rosters ready prior to the races,” said meet director Elias Rangamar in an interview with the Marianas Variety.
