Sonics crush Rollers Happynest in QQ caging

From the start of the game until the end team Sonics took hold of the driver’s seat and ran the show. Sonics’ Jung Wong garnered four points during the last five minutes of the opening quarter.

Meanwhile teammates Tom Santos, Bryan Ajoste, and Lerio Pagarao nailed four points, three points, and another three points respectively.

Wong sealed the first quarter with a bold shot behind the three pointer shot to put the scores up to 22-11 in favor of the Sonics.

During the second quarter team Rollers Happynest was able to close the gap by a few points courtesy to Brandon Aulerio and Elijah Aughenbaugh’s six points a piece.

Pagarao kept his team’s lead by knocking down six more points playing side by side with teammate Leo Apello who contributed his four points. By half time the scores were 37-30.

Team Sonics stepped it up a notch during the second half of the game not wanting to be served their first loss during their debut game.

Pagarao clinched seven more points while teammate Tom Santos marked another six points for the Sonics. By the end of the third quarter team Sonics surpassed the Rollers, 67-51.

The Sonics delivered the upset to the Rollers during the last quarter of the game. Mike Eclevia drew first blood during the first quarter by scoring two jump-shots off of the key.

Teammate Tom Santos then nailed another four points while Edwin Camacho secured the Sonics’ victory with 10 points followed by the last three attempts successfully made by Bryan Ajoste for six points.

Team Sonics prevailed handing the Rollers Happynest their first upset of the season, 96-61. In other news the weather did not permit the second game of the night to continue after the bout between team Ferrera Builders and Prospects entered a fifth quarter overtime.

The second game will continue its last three minute stint tonight at the Garapan court as the first game followed by the regular scheduled games.
