The eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Takashi Minami, Edward has been a student at KSM since he was six years old. By the time Edward was 9 years old, he could satisfactorily play solo pieces by Mozart, Chopin, Beethoven and other great composers. KSM music teacher Dinah Medina is so proud of the accomplishment of Edward Minami who has been her student for the past three years.
In the Rhythm and Meter adjudication category, the judges’ comments about Edward’s performance included “great sense of tempo”, “great sudden tempo change”, “time and tempo changes were well-handled throughout.”
