Abuel lifts Satbahi above Mobil

And so the game unraveled to be a far stint between Satbahi and team Mobil but by some miracle the Satbahis nailed the win by a jump shot and three charities to hand the all powerful Mobil the upset of the game.

When a player from team Mobil was interviewed about what happened during the game, he claimed that they relaxed and let their guard during the third quarter and by the time the last few minutes of the game came around it was already too late to catch up to Satbahi.

Also, Luis Abuel’s basketball talents and game were intensified after he successfully nailed almost all of his three pointer shots to give the Satbahis the edge that they did to surpass team Mobil.

All was going well for team Mobil. The game started out quite slow building steady pace as the quarters opened one by one. At the bottom of the first quarters the scores were up 17-11 in favor of team Mobil.

Marvin Rabauliman then opened the second quarter with several attempted shots nailing four to contribute his 8 points to the team. This then ignited team Mobil’s winning streak only to be put out by Satbahi’s Abuel power.

By half time the gap was far enough for team Mobil to let their guard down. The scores heralded team Mobilwinners, 42-25 with Mobil gripping the upper hand of the game.

Elgeanne Mangali ignited Satbahi’s winning streak during the opening of the second half of the bout by garnering 10 points off the hoops. Teammate Bart Demapan jumped into the band wagon and collected 7 points to push the Satbahis further into closing the gap made during the first quarters of the game.

Abuel was not far from the scene of the game. He nailed a charity shot followed by a three pointer shot and then ended with a jump shot to close the gap to eight points.

It was a thriller game in the last quarter of the competition. The game was thrown back and forth but with some miracle Satbahi’s Glenn Aquino pushed his limits to the test after slicing through two defenders alley-up the ball in advancing the Satbahis past Mobil by one point.

The eulogy of the game was heralded after Jun Ponteleon was fouled in the air after he attempted to slice past Mobil’s center man. Ponteleon bagged both free-throw shots to give them a three point advantage with less than 25 seconds left in the game.

Aquino was then fouled once again in the moment of passion from team Mobil and he nailed the second free-throw shot to give team Mobil less than ten seconds left in the game and then it was all over.

Team Satbahi handed team Mobil the upset of the game curbing their domineering wins in the Docomo/UBA Men’s Basketball Tournament.
